So it’s the middle of the month, so what! Every day is a good time to make a wrap-up post! Don’t shame me! And anyway, I’m barely aware what day of the month it is because I had the last three weeks off work… It does feel like summer break for students, it really does.
I read a lot in September, to be honest! And so far almost nothing in October, but we’re not gonna talk about that.

There comes a time in one’s life, when you have to look at your book blog and think to yourself: wow, I haven’t posted a wrap-up in months! And then you realise the only way to come out of the situation with any dignity at all, is to make one post for all the months you missed.
So this is technically a monthly wrap-up. But it’s actually more like a quarterly wrap-up. And actually, I’m only gonna list the books I rated 4 or 5 stars (peaches!).

Well, if I’m doing a wrap-up post for April, the first thing I should mention is: I moved last week! It’s been whole eight days, to be exact, because I moved on a Saturday. We were renovating a flat for me for ages, since my father and uncle did all the work themselves and they only had time after their day jobs. But hey, who cares, right? The important part is that they are finished & I have a whole beautiful flat for myself!
Also, head over to my twitter for some pics!
I had to finally change my twitter bio as well, because up until now it just said “a book blogger with no bookshelves”. But I have a bookcase now! I even arranged my books on it last night!
Anyway, let’s talk about the books I’ve read last month! And yes, before you ask, I am still doing my monthly reread of Crush.

Look who is not dead after all!! Okay yes, yes, I know, I haven’t been here in ages… But work been kicking my ass and it’s not like I was really reading anything in the past two or three months…
I also have some great news! Together with my friend Charlotte we started a brand new blog – Reads Rainbow – dedicated exclusively to reviews and recommendations of lgbt media, be it books or movies or shows. The first review – by your truly – is up so maybe check it out here.
Now let’s move on to all those six books I read in September.

Between that Stressful Event at work I kept talking about & then me getting sick right after it, I didn’t have that much time or energy to read in June. Still, I managed 11 books, so I’d say it’s not so bad. What do you think?
I failed my initial plan of only reading lgbt books in June… But that only happened because a few of the poetry books I’ve ordered from other libraries finally came and I only had a few days to read them before my local library had to send them back.
(And let’s…. let’s not talk about how many books from my Pride reading list I’ve read…)

You may ask: so Anna, did you finally get over your reading slump? Did you finally had a good reading month? Do you even know how to read anymore?
My answer to all of those questions would lowkey be NO. I mean, yes, I had a better reading month than that of April but uhh…. Does that mean it was good? I wish!
Basically, I read nine (9) books this month. 30% of that was poetry – it could be more, but I did pretty well in this department. On the other hand only 2 of my May books were actual novels… On the plus side, though, 60% of what I read was LGBT literature!! 💫
